Jake Finlay, Damian Brennan, and Tom Webster aren’t the first Australian bronc riders to head across the pond and make a name for themselves on the American rodeo circuit. But after plenty of conversations — and not a whole lot of planning — the idea was born.

They knew Australian cowboys were among the best in the world and could go head-to-head with the toughest riders from the United States and Canada. So the question became: why not bring that level of world-class competition back home to Australia?

From that idea, the Cinch Invitational Global Bronc Match was created, the with first match at Scone in 2024.

Their goal is simple — to promote the sport of Australian bronc riding, create pathways for networking and professional development for Australian athletes, and deliver a world-class event right here on home soil.

A special thanks must also go to Eddie Gill and Gill Bros Rodeo, whose instrumental support and experience have helped bring the event to life since the beginning. The Gill family are steeped in rodeo tradition across generations, and their contribution to the sport and to this event is invaluable.
